Why Antimony?
Antimony is a “Critical Mineral” as it is essential to the economy and national security. Antimony is utilized in all manners of military applications, including night vision goggles, explosive formulations, flares, nuclear weapons production, and infrared sensors. Its expanded uses, especially in advanced battery technology, underscore its importance as a Critical Mineral. The world’s current antimony supply is 90% controlled by China, Russia and Tajikistan, with only minimal production from the United States.
